Purpose

Picture this. You are a highly trained Roman soldier sent to the front lines of battle to face the enemy head on. You charge the battle field with sweat rolling down your face. You yell at the top of your lungs as the adrenaline rushes through your veins. As you sprint to meet your opponent, you reach down to grab your sword. Wait a minute... It isn't there? You could have sworn you sheathed it before heading out to the field. Hold on. You don't have your shield either? What kind of soldier are you? Did you forget it in the fridge again? Looks like someone wasn't focused on the important things today. Aaaaaand CHOP! You're dead. As your head sits there facing your now noggin-less body, you wonder where you went wrong.

THAT'S THE PURPOSE OF THIS SITE.

In our spiritual lives we often don't consider or realize the importance of CONSTANTLY filling ourselves with the Word. The Bible is our sword. Our faith is our shield. This life we are living is a constant battle against the enemy. Satan will do whatever he can to deceive us. Christ will prevail always. I want this site to be a tool. I don't want it to be a crutch. I want this site to be a useful resource. If we are truly to live our lives as Christ desires us to, then we are SURELY going to face conflict. It's what you choose to do at that point when the conflict comes that will define you. Memorize scripture. Share it with others. Fill your mind with Christ. Have your sword ready at all times. Never turn away from the battle, lest you leave your back open for the enemy to strike. I want to be the tree firmly planted by streams of water (Psalm 1). I want to be courageous just as Joshua, David, and Paul were. I want to become dangerous; without fear, for God is with me in all my ways.

Read Ephesians 6:10-20

Put on the full armor of God.
